Germany in crisis mode, preparing for worst outbreak of Corona crisis.

Spahn (Health minister) reports that worst part is yet to come.

• Hospitals in Germany increased their intensive care beds from 28,000 to 40,000 from which 15,000-20,000 are currently free.

• Currently there are 30,000 beds with respirators.

• Compared to other countries: Germany has 33.9 intensive care beds per 100,000 inhabitants. Austria: 28.9 per 100,000 and USA: 25.8 per 100,000.
